And So It Begins…

Ok, so I finally did it. I have a blog.

I have been wrestling with the decision of whether or not I should as, I’m embarrassed to admit, I’m not very creative in terms of coming up with original ideas. Don’t get me wrong, I know what I like and I do have my own sense of style but I’m not just not that great at coming up with my own ideas.

I’m a Pinterest addict. I take the ideas of others and tweak them to make them mine. But isn’t that what most do? So maybe I am qualified to be a blogger?

Now that’s out of the way, here’s a bit about me.

I’m 28 years old, Irish and engaged to marry the man I love. We have been living in a rental house with out two cats, Binx and Tilly, since September 2013 and we are still in the process of making it as “ours” as we can. We are quite lucky in that we have a pretty relaxed landlord. To quote him directly we can “do whatever we want as long as we don’t tear down any walls”. Isn’t that great?

Our home is still a work in progress as when we first moved in it looked as though the previous occupant had never so much as looked at a duster, much less used one. Lucking my fiancé has a strong stomach (as well as his heart of gold) and he got stuck into disinfecting every part of this house so that I could begin the DIY-ing.

Sadly, we forgot to take any real photos of complete rooms when we moved in as we were focusing on making a photo inventory due to the massive amount of damage in the house – I want to get my full security deposit back when we leave so I logged everything. I’ll post some of these photos for comparison soon.

I can ramble for days so I’ll say my goodbyes now – thanks for stopping by!
